Spring Has Sprung!
Now let’s just hope that old man winter gets the message. Here in the greater Cincinnati area, he seems to be a little relentless this year. So, pack your bags and move on sir. LOL!
Now that I got that out of my system let’s move on to the spring spruce up. So, what’s on your to-do list this Spring? A little exterior redo? Interior paint project? Pick a space any space and get started.
Get Started
While there is a never-ending list of to-do’s knowing where to start is always a challenge. So maybe I can help. As you approach the early days of Spring, pick the least overwhelming clean-up, organization project and start there. Not only does this give you a sense of progress once complete, but it can also lead you naturally to your next priority through uncovering a need. Maybe a simple closet or guest space would be the desired starting point.
Start with clearing out the area. Separate items no longer used into piles for pitching, selling or donating. By doing so, you will create space to organize and create your new look.
You can sell items by having a yard sale or take advantage of technology and sell them on Facebook, Poshmark or a myriad of other options.
Call your local charities and shelters and see if the items you have for donation are something they could use. Don’t forget to get the receipt of charitable donation for that tax write-off.
Start the cleaning
Now you are ready to clean from the top down. Doing this while everything thing is out of the space will allow for easier, quicker and hassle-free clean-up.
Start the reorganization
Now let the reorganization begin. Make a quick run to your favorite local superstore and purchase some organizational tools. (This is the fun part) Or maybe you are a crafty, creative Pinterest guru and you can make your own. Either way, using cute totes, baskets and organizers bring a personal sense of style and flair to any space. Put everything in its tidy spot, and ta-dah (music playing) you are finished.
